“bp concepts”, WERA 600 Superbike endurance team, completes round 7 of the WERA National Endurance Series at Talladega GP placing 2nd in class and 6th overall when the race was red flagged with 30 minutes to go putting them first in class in the championship.

Brandon Parrish comments: “I started the race from row 3 and had an excellent start.  I maintained 3rd overall for about 30 minutes until my buddy Chad Lewin passed me.  It was so hot, I was starting to get delirious, and got the chills haha,  Anyhow I was staying with Chad for a bit and he got through traffic better and started to pull away, and I knew our tank was bigger so I would just get it back in the pits so I just maintained a good pace got the place back by the end of my 65 minute stint, came in and passed the bike off to Bo Lemastus.  Bo ran great again getting down to a minute flats maintaining a great pace but the heat soon got to him so he pulled in at about the 40 min mark.  We were going to put a new rear on for Andy who was going out next but we had some problems and just sent him out with a full tank.  Andy also rode great and put in a full stint but was complaining about the Dunlop rear going away a little bit by the end.  We had about one hour to go and it started raining.  We had DOT’s and rains mounted because the weather was iffy.  The team decided that the smartest option was going to be DOT’s because it looked like it was going to blow over.  Opie went out and rode very smart, and cautious during the down pour and I decided to bring him back in so I could go out there and try to chase down Suzuki Rider Development.  Well I got our laps times down fairly fast but Russ on the Suzuki team was running the same pace so we made no headway.  But wow were the Dunlop DOT’s awesome in the rain, I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work, Crosley.com for the support, all the sponsors who support us to get us to this second place and the bike in one piece haha.”

WERA Middleweight Superbike endurance team “bp concepts” was back on top of the podium taking 1st in class for the third time during round 6 at Summit Point Motorsports Park this past weekend.

Brandon Parrish comments: “The past two rounds we unfortunately had some bad luck with two DNF’s at about the 4 hour mark while running first in class at Road Atlanta and Gratten.  This past week we were skeptical about how things were going to turn out because two of our riders could not make the 6 hour race.  Andy Feuersthaler is out with an injured ankle due to a crash at Road Atlanta, and Ben Thompson was attending the AMA round at Mid Ohio.  However, prior to the weekend we had made arrangements with Opie Caylor to ride with us the remainder of the season so we were not too worried and appreciate his help.  As far as results, we couldn’t have asked for a better finish.  Our NPSracing.com engines are always fresh; our Dunlop tires were awesome having one front and rear change at the half way point; our Gemini Motorsports quick change was super fast, our new gas tank made by Ricky Howerton was super nice, the modified dump can by Johnny at Wise Guys fabrication dumped very fast and all of our riders had flawless, fast paced stints to keep us at the front.  Other than that, at Summit you can utilize the horsepower on the big bikes, so we were proud to be the first 600 behind the 1000’s for the overall finish of 6th place, finishing 2 laps ahead of RedStar and running an average of 2 seconds off the overall leaders pace.  We look forward to round 7 at Talladega Gp on the 18th.”

Opie Caylor Comments: “Just want to thank bp concepts for putting me on the bike this weekend.  The bike performed great, as usual the Dunlop’s were excellent and kept us in the hunt, and we put in great stints and did what we had to do. I look forward to riding again.”

WERA Middleweight Superbike endurance team bp concepts backed up their 1st in class and 4th overall finish from Barber, to an exciting 1st in class and 3rd overall during round 3 at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah aboard their Crosley 2007 GSXR 600, placing them 1st in class points and 3rd overall in points behind Vesrah Suzuki and Team Velocity.
Brandon Parrish comments: “It was an up and down weekend.  We started off with mapping problems due to the change in altitude and struggled to get good clean power off the bottom of our NPSracing.com motor.  We finally got it dialed in during the last practice session on Saturday morning swapping maps all around and changing them back and fourth. As usual riders Bo LeMastus, and Andy Feuersthaler were in attendance and for round 3 our fourth rider Ben Thompson was able to make it out to Miller to help us with the first 6 hour event.  I started off the race maintaining a good pace, placing us 4th overall and 1st in class with a little over an hour for the first stint.  Next out was Ben who had a solid stint maintaining our position and bringing it back in for Bo.  Bo went out and rode the best stint of his season thus far also maintaining position and staying on the track for a little over an hour.  Andy went out for the fourth stint and after two laps the race was red flagged.  We were slightly bummed because we had a fairly good lead over our competitors Suzuki Rider Development and we knew if there were no red flags we could finish up with two more pit stops and they would have 3.  However during the restart Suzuki Rider development got ahead of us and Andy rode an awesome stint to stay close to them on a 3 and a half hour old rear tire which he chose to run on because he wanted Ben and I to have a new rear for the last two hours.  Andy came in and I put a new rear on with a super fast stop to put Ben out with an hour and a half to go.  Ben rode awesome setting the fastest time in our class and pulling about a one minute and forty second lead over the Suzuki Rider Development team leaving me with about 20 minutes to finish it up.  Ben came in and we put about two gallons of fuel in and I went out to maintain our 3rd overall and 1st in class finish.  We are excited that so far our team has ridden flawlessly, our bike has performed perfect, and we are sitting in 3rd overall in points and 1st in class points.  We can’t thank our sponsors enough for the opportunity to have the best equipment on the market.”

“bp concepts” # 8 WERA Endurance 600 Superbike team was on top of the podium last Saturday at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds Alabama, taking first place in class and fourth overall in their second round of the WERA Endurance Series.  Team owner Brandon Parrish started the 4 hour race from row 5 putting in consistent lap times riding their Crosley Dunlop shod 2007 GSXR 600 powered by NPSracing.com setting the fastest lap of all the 600’s in lap 23.  He came into the pits first in class and second overall behind Vesrah Suzuki on lap 38 where Bo LeMastus took over for the next stint.  Bo had a great run, maintaining a good pace and brought it back in for Andy Feuersthaler to start the third hour.  Andy rode the longest stint of the 4 hours for the team putting in 44 solid laps bringing it in for fuel in 5th overall.  Brandon finished up the 4 hours with a 23 lap stint to secure first in class and finish fourth overall 55 seconds behind third.  Brandon Parrish comments: “It was a great weekend for our new team, Bo LeMastus and Andy Feuersthaler rode great, our help in the pits was just fantastic and our equipment was flawless.  Coming into this race we were fourth in class from the first round at Roebling Road in Savannah, and with a new sponsor on board Wise Guys Fabrication out of Louisville Kentucky, we were able to get our gas tank enlarged, add the dry break system provided by Lockhart Phillips and utilize our Wise Guys Fabed dump can to allow for faster pit stops and longer stints.  We have just a few things we want to modify for faster pit stops and we look forward to the 6 hour round at Jennings GP May 19th.  We want to give a special thanks to all the sponsors that make this team possible.”

Brandon Parrish, owner of the newly formed WERA Endurance team “bp concepts”; signs a two year deal with Crosley Radio, to contest the Middleweight Superbike Championship, riding a Dunlop shod 2007 GSXR 600 powered by NPSracing.com.  The team includes, Brandon Parrish, Bo LeMastus, Andy Feuersthaler and Ben Thompson.  Brandon Parrish comments: “The owner of Crosley, Bo LeMastus is a huge supporter of motorcycle racing and I am excited that Crosley wanted to come on board strong for 07.  They have been an important asset to my racing program since I started racing in 2004 as well as being title sponsor of the WERA Senior Superbike class.  Anyhow, we got off to a late start, I had two weeks to discuss the opportunity with my other sponsors, find two more riders, and build a machine for the 4 hour opener at Roebling Road in Georgia on March 17th.  After discussing the logistics of the team with two of my best friends Andy and Ben, they both agreed to ride for the team.  With the short time we had, we couldn’t get our quick change equipment and quick fill fuel system built in time and due to prior commitments Ben couldn’t make the first race.  However we went to Roebling with some rigged up tire change equipment, the stock gas tank and a positive attitude.  I started the race in Row 13 of 14 in the second wave, and came in after 36 laps running first in class.  Throughout the 4 hours we had one rear, and one front tire change, and were running 3rd in class.  With 18 minutes to go we had to come in for a splash and go.  We ended up finishing 12.4 seconds behind 3rd place and 9th overall.  I am excited, not because we had 5 pit stops, spending a little over 5 minutes in the pits; but the second and third place teams had two pits stops spending about a minute and a half in the pits, and for the remainder of the season we will be well equipped with our GP Tech quick change system and our larger fuel tank with a dry brake system that will help keep us out on the track.”
